Exceptional not only for its exquisite beauty, but also for its lightning-quick speed. This rapier, reproduced from an original in the collection of Hank Reinhardt, shows off one of the more graceful and sublime designs from a period when no two swords were made exactly alike. (There were often tremendous differences between rapiers because of varying amounts of skill of the blade maker, the hilt maker, and the cutler who assembled them.) This particular swept-hilt design, which is truly a work of art, was in use for over a hundred years. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts using a high carbon steel blade. Scabbard included. This weapon is featured in Deadly Duels. Circa 1600. Overall-44 1/4". Blade-36 1/4" long, 3/4" wide, 3/16" thick. Wt.-2 lbs. 3 oz.
